This is a German grape brandy blended from 25 different wine distillations and aged for eight years in Limousin oak casks. Hugo Asbach created the Asbach Privatbrand (8 Year) back in 1908, initially intended exclusively for family and friends. Asbach Privatbrand aged 8 years is a composition of the finest single distillates, the youngest of which is at least eight years old. This is a sipping brandy, smooth, complex and rich; it has a remarkably fruity nose, with enticing notes of cedar and bitter chocolate.
