Founded in 1670, Warre’s was the first British Port company established in Portugal; it has been in the Symington family since 1905 when Andrew James Symington was admitted to partnership. Warre’s Ports are distinguished for their structure, power and softly perfumed nose. They have a particularly fresh and elegant style. Warre’s premium wines are sourced from Quinta da Cavadinha and Quinta do Retiro, two of the finest estates of the Douro valley. Warre’s is alone in maintaining a small production of bottle matured Late Bottled Vintage Port (apart from its sister company Smith Woodhouse). This Bottle Aged LBV shows mature red and dark fruits on the nose such as red cherries and floral notes of elderflowers. The palate is elegant and full of finesse with a backbone of freshness and flavors of red cherries and floral notes. The finish is long and lingering.
