ounded only in 2021, Tenuta del Vallone Rosso is located in Biancavilla, within the Natural Etna Park, on the southern slopes of Mount Etna. Guiding spirit and true believer, Gianluca Furnari started with roughly an acre of vineyard, which he has now grown to a little more than seven acres scattered throughout four different districts, mostly centuries old bush vines at high altitudes on those southern slopes. This, his white wine, is mostly Carricante, with some Cataratto and a splash of Minella Bianca blended in; lively, fresh and elegant, it has expressive fruit flavors that are meshed impressively with a deeply mineral finish.
