Among the founding estates of Washington's Walla Walla Valley, Seven Hills effectively dates from 1980, when Casey McClellan, a fourth-generation farmer in eastern Washington, and his family planted the founding blocks of their future winery, 21 acres of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Eight years later, the McClellans established Seven Hills Winery. Today the winery's focus remains on those ed wine grapes, but they have also won acclaim for their Sauvignon Blanc, sourced from the cool regions of the Columbia Valley. Highly aromatic, it features aromas and flavors of citrus and tropical fruit and is medium-bodied with a refreshing and lingering citrus finish.
