Rocca del Principe, in Lapio, in the green hills of Campania, dates only from 2004, when Ercole Zarrella, his wife Aurelia Fabrizio, and his brother Antonio decided to join forces. The Zarellas and the Fabrizios were both grapegrowing families in the region but had always sold their grapes off to others, Together they manage about 25 acres, about half of which is planted to Fianowith vineyards on the hill of Arianiello, the highest part of the town of Lapio and prime territory for the Fiano grape. This wine is a blend of grapes from Aianiello and two other Lapio districts, Tognano and Lenze; done entirely in stainless steel, it is pure, fresh and juicy, with outstanding acidity and great length.
