Terrasses du Larzac is a unique and exciting site in the vast Côteaux du Languedoc, just west of Pic Saint Loup. Le Pas de l’Escalette is the historic trail linking the Mediterranean plain to the high Larzac plateau. Not long ago mules were the principal mode of travel along this challenging transitional landscape. It is here that Delphine and Julien Zernott were fortunate to acquire fifty acres of vineyard, divided into fifty separate parcels, with vines aged between 45 and 80 years, mostly Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault. Les Petits Pas, inspired by their children, is a multi-parcel blend of organically-farmed Grenache, Syrah and Carignan; it is a red of zippy freshness and crunchy red and dark fruits.
