Ben Riccardi was born in the Finger lakes and now lives on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake, with his wife Brittnie and baby daughter Mia. After several years spent working at noted wineries including Willams Selyem in California, Craggy Range in New Zealand, and City Winery New York in Manhattan, Ben returned home to upstate New York to start his own winery in 2014, planting his first vines only in 2024. Ben has established himself as something of a specialist in pet nat wines, natural sparkling wines bottled during the fermentation process. This version, made 100% from a hybrid grape called Cayuga, has aromas of grapefruit rind and peaches and is bright and fresh, with risk lemony acidity.
