Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines were an important part of what is known as the Swartland Revolution and remain one of the most exciting producers in all of South Africa today. The Mullineux family is Chris and Andrea, who were previously both at Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards; they left in 2007, got married, and moved to Riebeek Kasteel to start their own venture. They currently lease vineyard blocks across the region, going for a range of soil types, with 17 acres across 21 different vineyards. Their Old Vines White is a blend of six different grapes, the featured player being Chenin Blanc and the supporting players all Mediterranean varietals; boldly flavored and richly aromatic, it is highly textured on the palate, finishing with a touch of almond.
