This winery is located in Archanes, on the island of Crete, where the history of Cretan wine began more than 4,000 years ago. The winery was founded much more recently, however, by Nikos Stathoglou, with his first vintage only in 2021. The winery currently produces only a limited number of bottles with a focus on the predominant varieties grown on the island, including Kotsifali, Mantilari, Vilana, and this Moschato Spinas (Muscat Blanc) featured here. Like all iterations of the Muscat family, the grape makes for a full-flavored, highly characterful white, highly aromatic, with freshness and milf acifity.
