Lo Scudo is a young food and beverage company based in Lugano, Switzerland, that produces wines in Italy working in partnership with selected wineries and top Italian oenologists. This is their Chianti Classico, an 85/10/5 blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo. Done mostly in stainless steel with a brief time in large oak barrels, this is a traditionally-styled Chianti with aromas and flavor of woodland berries, black cherries, red currants, and violets.
