Ken Forrester Wines is situated on the slopes below the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of South Africa's most famous wine region, Stellenbosch. Having enjoyed a stellar career as a restaurateur in Johannesburg, Forrest, in 1993, bought the derelict Schotzenhof Farm in Stellenbosch., a property that dates back to 1694. His efforts over the years to support the grape have led to his vineyards being known as the Home of Chenin Blanc (and Forrester as Mr. Chenin Blanc) but Sauvignon Blanc is actually the grape Forester started with. His “Petit” range, comprising eight different bottlings, is designed as a range of elegant, inexpensive wines, crafted for everyday drinking ; this Sauvignon Blanc offers lovely complexity with a mix of tropical fruit, tangy grassy notes, fig leaves and nectarine nuances with a crisp dry finish.
