Joseph Pascal 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseigneres
This family-owned and -run estates dates from the 1950s, when Jean Pascal and his wife began acquiring vineyard property in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet. Today the estate comprises nearly forty acres of vines and is helmed by fourth generation Alexandra Pascal; it is one of the largest estates in the region and is well known for its consistently high quality and meticulous attention to detail. Oh yes, Alexandra not only also manages a sizable vine nursery but also serves as the mayor of Puligny-Montrachet! Les Enseigneres os a classic white Burgundy sourced from a small parcel where the vines are on average 52 years old; the wine has a rich nose of lemon curd and brioche and is generous on the palate, with complex tension from bright acidity.
