It has been said that Joel Gott was born to make wine: his grandfather was winemaker and president of Inglenook in the 1960s and 1970s and his father, Cary Gott, was the founder of Chateau Montelena and continues to consult today. Since he started Joel Gott Wines in 1996, he has worked assiduously to build relationships with growers, empowering his winemaking team to source high-quality grapes to produce wines that offer fantastic value. His Zinfandel has been called the “poor man’s Turley” because it offers great quality for a very modest price. A blend of grapes from four California regions, it is ripe with flavors of pepper and cherries with a lingering finish.
