The Alois family has a long and impressive history of winemaking in Campania. In 2011, wishing to expand their operations in the region, they turned to two friends, renowned oenologist Carmine Valentino, and Gerardo Contrada, who happened to own several vineyards planted to the grapes native to Campania. The Donna Paoina winery iis the happy result of this three-way collaboration. This Greco di Tufo comes from Contrada’s Marotta vineyard, where the sandy, mineral-rich soil is a perfect match for the grape. Done entirely in stainless steel, the wine has enticing aromas of apricot, peach and pear and is smooth and mineral-driven on the palate, with an elegant structure.
