Damiani Wine Cellars, located on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake, is one of the premier wineries of New York’s Finger Lakes region; family-owned, the winery produced its first vintage in 2004. This is one of the newest wineries in the region and winemaker Lou Damiani and co-owner grape grower Phil Davis are forging a reputation within the Finger Lakes. Damiani’s “Sole e Terra” is a highly unusual blend, bringing together Pinot Noir, Lemberger, and the national grape of the country of Georgia, Saperavi. Truly inspired, the result is a red with snappy tart fruit, firm minerality, and just enough tannin to provide a lean, agile finish.
