Founded in 1883 by Melchor Concha y Toro, a prominent Chilean businessman and politician, Concha y Toro is today the largest producer and exporter of wines from Latin America and one of the ten largest wine companies in the world, with more than 33 million cases sold per year. It remained a family business until 1003, when its exponential growth necessitated the transition to a corporation. Frontera is the winery’s large-format line, the first choice of many for an inexpensive drinkable wine. This Sauvignon Blanc shows great varietal character, with citrus and herbs on the nose and palate and fresh white peaches on the finish.
