Cantina Tinazzi was founded as Tinazzi Eugenio & Figli in Cavaion Veronese, about 12 miles northwest of Verona, in 1968. They have subsequently expanded, with the purchase of a family estate in Bardolino in 1986, establishment of a company headquarters on the shores of Lake Garda and acquisition of the Feudo Croce estate in Puglia in 2002, and the acquisition of four more estates in Puglia and Valpolicella, and finally the takeover of the Tenuta Pian del Gallo estate in Greve in Chianti in 2022. This Desto Cabernet is made at the Lake Garda facilities from grapes grown in the Veneto; it is elegant, fresh, and velvety, with bright aromas of plums and black cherries.
