Established in 2001, Cantina Bolzano (a.k.a. Kellerei Bozen) is the result of a merger between two powerful coops in the South Tyrol, the producers of Gries (coop dating from 1908) and Santa Maddalena (dating from 1930). It today comprises 220 growers growing a wide range of both red and white grapes. The village of Bolzano is located in the middle of a valley basin surrounded by hilly vineyards that grow from 650 feet above sea level up to 3200. This elegant wine comes from selected vineyards around Bolzano and really delivers with fresh, floral aromas and a nice acidity. Expect golden delicious apples, pear; and a light scent of peaches and pineapples on the nose and palate.
