Founded in 1958 in the town of Borja, called Borsao in the 4th century B.C., this winery represents what can be done with Garnacha, a grape that is not well appreciated by the Spanish press. Through meticulous selection, work in the fields and at reception time in the winery, modern winemaking produces this highly fruity wine. The vineyards are divided between the chalky soil of alluvial terraces of the Ebro River at 1,200 feet in elevation and the more complex soils of the hillside vineyards on the Moncayo mountain range 1,950 feet in elevation. This rosado is lightly pink-salmon in color; the nose is fairly dry, with herbs, dried strawberries, and red currants, and the mouth is much the same with some hints of oranges and other crisp fruits.
