Bartoli Giusti is one of the oldest families in the Montalcino region, having cultivated vineyads here for centuries. The estate, located on the hills that look toward Montalcino, comprises some 300 acres, only fifty of which are planted to grapes (Sangiovese); it is today run by two siblings, Gino Antonio and Anna Maria Focacci. Theirs is a faairly traditional Brunello, bright, tangy and full-bodied, with buried tannins, brisk acidity, and excellent focus and grip on a long, complex finish, an elegant, old-school example of Brunello with great lift and energy.
