The Pere Magloire brand is owned by Debrise-Dulac, a company founded in Normandy in 1821. In 1968 the company was taken over by Veuve Clicquot, who sold in 1988 to an independent Norman family group, Pays d’Auges Finances. By 2005 Pere Magloire was well established as the leading brand of Calvados, both in France and throughout the world. The XO, two steps up from the Fine VS, is the cornerstone of the entire collection; made only from apples harvested in the Pays d’Auges region of Normandy, it has seductive aromas of ripe apples and a complex palate with hints of vanilla and an impressive aftertaste.
