Launched in 1967 in Jalisco, Mexico, Olmeca Tequila in now owned by Pernod Ricard. There are three tequilas in the Olmeca family: Olmeca, Olmeca Altos, and Olmeca Tezón, all of which contain Tahona Liquid. The distillery is located 6,900 feet above sea level in the heart of Los Altos. Olmeca Altos is produced using the traditional tahona method with agave from the Highlands, 60% coming from Olmeca Altos' own estates and 40% from third party sources. This unaged Blanco shows roasted agave and citrus on the nose, with lime, citrus and spice on the palate and a long finish.
