Maker's Mark 46 is a new style of bourbon, this company's first new offering since 1958. At a slightly higher proof than traditional Maker's Mark, the 46 spends six to seven years in oak barrels and then an additional two-to-three months longer with seared French oak planks. The resulting whisky is rich and smooth with pronounced notes of caramel, vanilla and spice.
