It was John Walker, a master blender of teas, who saw the incredible potential for blending Scotch whiskies, and for nearly two centuries the Walker family has been carrying on the tradition he started. Black Label is a blend of about forty different whiskies, each aged at least twelve years. At the heart of Black Label lies 12-year-old Cardhu, an outstanding malt from Speyside, which imparts silkiness, a characteristic which has made it famous as a single malt.
