Located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, the Faccia Bruto distillery was founded in the spring of 2020 by Patrick Miller, the former executive chef of Rucola. Miller grew up in an Italian-American household, for which he credits his love for Old World Italian spirits. Early times though this may be for Miller, he can already boast three prestigious awards from the 2020 NY International Spirits Competition: one for Distillery of the Year, a Gold for his Aperitivo, and a Bronze for this Fernet Pianta. Named in honor of Miller’s grandmother, this digestive blends 21 organic herbs and botanicals, including saffron, myrrh, peppermint, and gentian root, for a balanced and refreshing after-dinner treat.
