Bacardi is a family-controlled spirits company, best known as a producer of rums, including Bacardi Superior and Bacardi 151. Their rum has been around since 1862. The company sells in excess of 200 million bottles per year in nearly 100 countries. This 8-year-old (“Ocho”) is a golden sipping rum that was first created in 1862, making it one of the oldest private rum blends in the world, the personal reserve of the Bacardi family for seven generations. It has a distinctive refined flavor, with notes of apricots, prunes, vanilla, and nutmeg.
