After Kat Hantas had her second child, she was advised to give up wine as her drink of choice. She started playing around with tequila, infusing it with a variety of different natural ingredients. After some years of experimenting, and then partnering with a tequila distillery in Jalisco, in 2019 she came up with 21 Seeds. Kat’s sister and best friend joined her as partners, and the tequila distillery is largely female-owned and –run, and so their hashtag became “girlscalltheshots.” The Valencia Orange Blanco, infused with the juice of real fruit, is smooth with bright orange notes without being sweet.
