The Broadbent name has been synonymous with fine wine for more than six decades, beginning with the renowned career of British wine critic, writer and auctioneer Michael Broadbent and continuing with his son, the importer Bartholomew Broadbent, who started his American company in 1996. Broadbent’s portfolio ranges over many countries and several continents, but he has found an especially strong suit in Portugal, especially with Madeiras and Ports. His Fine Rich Sweet Madeira is just what it says, uncomplicated and well made; a gentle, lightly almond-flavored wine, it is easy and fruity, with good acidity and a fresh, clear aftertaste.
