Domaine Sicera, led by 4th generation cider maker Paul Caillouel, is located in the heart of Normandy, in the Calvados appellation area. The estate grows 15 different varieties of apples (along with some pears) spread over 50 acres of family orchards, and each of the apple ciders they produce (five different ciders plus an apple juice) is a slightly different blend of some or all of the 15 different apple varieties. “Mariane” is a cidre rosé, a rosé cider made from pink-skinned apples. “Mariane” is made in a pleasantly light-bodied, semi-dry style, with pleasantly tart acidity and a bit of zest.
