Metal House Cider is a small-batch farm cidery located in Esopus, New York. It was founded in 2009 by Matt DiFrancesco and Kimberly Kae, a builder and painter who wanted to raise a family in a life closer to the land. The two are responsible for all aspects of production, from caring for the apple trees to the label art, and all the fruit Matt and Kimberly pick and press is local to them, either from untreated, local abandoned orchards, or sustainably grown by them. “Sundown” is a wild-fermented cider, a field blend of wild Hudson Valley apples fermented slowly with naturally occurring yeasts. Wild and earthy, dry ad refreshing, it offers zesty apple notes accented by balsam fir.
