La Fiorita was founded in 1992 by famed winemaker and consultant Roberto Cipresso. In 2011 Cipresso partnered with American film actress Natalie Oliveros who, three years later, bought out the entire estate, along with her business associate, Louis Camilleri. The winery, located in the medieval town of Castelnuovo Abate, comprises four separate vineyards totaling a bit less than twenty-five acres. This 2008 vintage was made in the Cipresso era; quintessential Brunello, it has elegant floral aromas and a palate of red berries smashed in leather, giving the wine a unique compllexity.
