Frank Woods and Tom Reed founded Clos du Bois in Geyserville California in 1974, and it became one of Sonoma’s most prominent brands in the 1980s and early 90s. The partners sold the winery in 1988 and it then changed ownership several times over the years. It was most recently (2021) acquired by Gallo as part of a deal with Constellation Brands, and the wines are now made at the Gallo facilities in Modesto. This Pinot Grigio is a refreshing white with aromas of citrus, melon, and white peach, citrus flavors and bright acidity on the palate, and a long crisp finish.
